Losers - And So We Shall Never Part

I remember as a teenager trying to work out with some friends what would be the best line-up for a superband - taking away the laws of time and space - in a world where Hendrix, Iggy Pop, Kim Deal and Stuart Copeland could grace a stage together... or would it be Freddie Mercury, Prince, Flea and Keith Moon - oh yeah and Bowie could make a guest appearance and Lou Reed could write all the songs, and Andy Warhol could be their manager and... the imagination runs wild long into the night.
Occasionally the stars align and the Gods are kind and true supergroups are formed, usually for a blink of an eye, in the twilight years of gifted musicians.

Losers are different. It's true that they are formed from members of successful bands but they are still young and fresh, still experimenting. Take the guitars and vocals of Paul Mullen (Your Code Name Is Milo) and Tom Bellamy (Cooper Temple Claus) add a bit of remix specialist and XFM DJ Eddie Temple Morris and throw in the best live drummer in the country Dean Pearson (The Wildhearts) and you definately have a supergroup, but, this is a band not reflecting back. It is a band with enourmous spirit, with something to say, moving forward and pushing things to the edge.

Their second album, "And So We Shall Never Part", out this week through pledge music is an epic reflection of that vision.

Make sure you check it out.
